A magisterial final chord
As a musician, you have spent your whole life playing and trying to understand music and
to know what to do and how to do it. A human life is made
to mature and understand better, be more tolerant. I think it
is beautiful to grow older. Maria João Pires
Breaking news! June gets another exceptional musical twist. Maria
João Pires will give an exclusive and rare solo recital in the Netherlands on 30 June. In
consultation with World Master Pianists, she has decided to perform in the atmospheric ambiance
of the Nieuwe Kerk on the Spui (opposite Amare) to perform one last time.
with a full solo recital, before she goes on tour to Japan. A
ultimate and historic opportunity for her fans to get to see her solo one more time
to experience her in a surprise programme including works by Mozart and Schubert.
Nieuwe Kerk
The Hague
Unforgettable events in a monumental church in the heart of The Hague
In the magnificent ‘fifth hall’ at Spuiplein, there is much to experience. With its rich history and unparalleled acoustics, the Nieuwe Kerk has been an inspiration for musicians, artists, and visitors for years. An unmatched stage for the many ensembles and festivals of The Hague. In 25/26, Amare, together with its partners, will again realize a special program. With this, they continue the tradition as hosts for top-tier musicians and ensembles, both nationally and internationally. Consider, for example, Joseph Puglia, FUSE, Utopia Ensemble, and James Oesi.
