Chopin and Schubert in a masterful piano recital

Arcadi Volodos returns to the Netherlands for one rare recital, on 4 March in Amare The Hague. This return marks something special: for the first time Volodos will play live music by Frédédic Chopin. A deeply cherished wish of many, ignored for years, till now. Late Chopin in the hands of one of the greatest sound artist of our time. A unique moment

Arcadi Volodos is undoubtedly one of the greatest living pianists. Elk van zijn optredens vertegenwoordigt een hoogtepunt van de meest meeslepende en meesterlijke pianoprestaties van dit moment. Since 2019, he has chosen to focus exclusively on solo recitals and has distanced himself from orchestral performances in order to devote himself entirely to the solo piano repertoire.

In the coming season, he will perform in many of Europe’s most prestigious venues, including the Barbican Centre in London, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon and in World Master Pianists in The Hague (Amare), Antwerp (DeSingel) and Brussels (Flagey).

Volodos has been an artist with Sony Classical since the beginning of his career and has received widespread critical acclaim for his recordings. He has won numerous prestigious awards, including two Gramophone Awards and an Echo Klassik Prize. His upcoming new album, featuring a live recording from Paris with works by Schubert and Schumann, will be released in spring 2026.
