World-class in an intimate setting

Instead of the recital by Maria João Pires, which was cancelled due to health reasons, World Master Pianists presents the Netherlands’ most celebrated piano duo Lucas & Arthur Jussen.

Artistically formed in close association with the Portuguese master pianist, they will perform a concert on Monday 7 July that guarantees exceptional musicality, intensity and ensemble playing. A programme that moves and inspires.

The recital for piano four hands has been specially curated for this occasion and comes into its own in the warm acoustics of the monumental Nieuwe Kerk. The program features works by Bach, Kulenty, Schubert, and Rachmaninoff — ranging from tranquil beauty to fiery virtuosity.

Lucas & Arthur Jussen are not only audience favourites, but also internationally recognised top musicians. Their performances are praised for their expressiveness, flawless technique and natural chemistry. This is your chance to experience them up close in one of The Hague’s most intimate and characterful concert venues.
