Arcadi Volodos, “the pianist who paints with sound” (Le Temps)
Arcadi Volodos is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary representatives of the Russian piano tradition. He is the storyteller of infinite stories and worlds, and the absolute master of the music of Schubert, Schumann, Skjrabin and Rachmaninoff. His phenomenal technique is fueled by an overflowing imagination, a sense of poetry and a fire that sweeps away everything in its path. Despite increasingly rare appearances on stage, he makes his debut at the magnificent Salle Philharmonique in Liège!

Salle Philharmonique | Liège
The Philharmonic Hall was inaugurated in 1887. Since the inauguration, with the help of Eugène Ysaÿe, it has seen the greatest artists of its time walk its halls: from Gustav Mahler (who conducted his 2nd Symphony there) to Olivier Messiaen, Iannis Xenakis, Luciano Berio, Philippe Boesmans or Pascal Dusapin. Since September 2000 it is wholly managed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, which gives its own symphonic concerts there, as well as hosting chamber music, world music or early music performances. The hall has a capacity of 1.129 seats.
